In April of 2020, we were excited to share something with our supporters on our Facebook page!
We had just realised our total donation tally had reached over $100,000 and we couldn't believe it!
So THANK YOU - to everyone who has donated items to us, bid on online auction items, supported our Garage Sales....and for just being awesome animal advocates!
We are so grateful for the support we have received from so many of you since we started fundraising for animal organisations and rescues in Jan 2015!

OUR BEGINNING - 30TH NOV 2014
It was Sunday 30th of November 2014 and we were having a drink and chat after the annual Stop Live Exports - Human Chain in Fremantle and started discussing the horrendous cruelty inflicted on billions of animals every year all around the world. How unbelievable it is that a large percentage of it is done within the law. We all agreed that some days the images and video evidence we see of 'mans' abuses against other species was too much for us to bare....abuse beyond belief. Yet it's true. Sadly, the majority of people we share the planet with are complicit in this abuse, oblivious or in denial about it.
We decided we needed somewhere to express our love for all of the animal kingdom and the positives of living a vegan life. We would create an oasis on Facebook for ourselves where only the good in humanity shines through.
Friends of the Animals - Perth was born.
We started donating funds straight away to important animal causes and began hosting online auctions in January 2015 to raise funds for those rescue groups and sanctuaries that needed financial assistance. So far we have donated funds or items & hampers to the value of over $100,000 to 50+ organisations - all over the world. All funds we raise in our auctions goes directly into the recipients bank account - which means that 100% goes directly to where it's needed most.
We wouldn’t be able to do any of this without our beautiful and generous donors and supporters who have helped us with our fundraising over and over again.
When we're not hosting online auctions on our Facebook page, we’re creating fun competitions, sharing good news and happy stories about animals and uploading vegan recipes and important petitions. We attend rallies and other fundraisers whenever we can and donate hampers to animal organisation events. We always promote the positives for living a vegan lifestyle and try and highlight how easy it is to be vegan in todays world!
Since Jan 2015 we have experienced so many wonderful events and witnessed increasing positive change and perception in the world towards animals. It is now September 2019 and we are getting excited for the future of veganism and compassion towards animals!
